A Personal Commitment to Progress, Prosperity & the People of California


My name is Carlos Goytia, a proud resident of Pomona and your working class  Democratic candidate for the California State Assembly. My decision to run is not just a political aspiration but a deeply personal commitment rooted in my love for our community and my desire to make a difference.


That is why I reinstated three youth athletics programs – Pomona Pop Warner Football & Cheer, Pomona Youth Baseball & Softball League, and Pony United Youth Baseball League – to ensure our children are able to enjoy the things that most in the community did not have.


My family believed in the power of hard work, education, and community service. These values have shaped my life and my career. The challenges our community faces – from the struggle to afford quality healthcare, to the difficulty of finding good jobs, to the crisis of affordable housing – these are not just policy issues to me, they are personal.


My decision to run for State Assembly comes with the goal to bring additional resources to the region, so folks no longer have to work multiple jobs to make ends meet and instead, use that time to spend with loved ones.

As a young man, I’ve been unhoused and know the trauma and violence of being house insecure. That’s why I refuse to accept the status quo that leaves many in substandard, cramped living conditions or displaced to the street with no permanent housing options.

A Thriving Economy

California's economy became the fourth largest in the world, yet the working class is still fighting for livable wages. We need  thriving wages so folks can spend time with their loved ones, instead of working multiple jobs to make ends meet.

CARLOS believes in:

Environmental Justice

Our district continues to experience the worst air quality in America, and often among the worst in the world. The impacts of climate change are further exacerbating this unhealthy situation, particularly in our poorest neighborhoods.

Affordable & Quality Healthcare

Despite recent advances made at both the federal and state levels--Too often, our working families experience breakdowns and dysfunctions in the healthcare system.
